Logo MTLSA Other Sailing Sites

Some of our members have been browsing on the Web and have uncovered some interesting Web sites dealing with Sailing. Some of these sites are themselves resources pointing to other sailing spots. A few of them are listed here for all to see and browse at your leisure. We hope that you have some favorable winds and clear water as you sail onward.

We will add additional page references as we become aware of them. If you know of some sites we should be sure to list, please let us know.

2008 Additions to the List

o Mauri Pro Sailing
The 'Tech Info' section at this site is very helpful.

o Salty Seas
A link to numerous brands of sailboats.

o Spurgeon's Port-O-Call
Visit Spurgeon's for your sailing needs.

o YachtWorld
World's largest data base of brokerage yachts.

o Yanmar Marine Engine Help
This is a great Yanmar engine site.

Long Standing Links

o St. Louis Sailing Center
Visit the St. Louis Sailing Center for your sailing needs.

o Mid-Missouri Model Sailing Club
There is a new sailing club in mid-Missouri. The Mid-Missouri Model Sailing Club races radio controlled sailboats on Corporate Lake or Stephens Lake in Columbia twice a month. Most of our members are current or former full-scale sailors (in fact two of them own and sail a boat on Mark Twain Lake), many members of other RC sailing clubs race both models and full-scale boats, and we hope to interest other sailors in the mid-Missouri area in the rapidly growing sport of RC sailboat racing. Please accept our invitation to drop by Corporate Lake between 2 and 4PM any 1st or 3rd Sunday of the month. We have a spare boat and would love to have you sail with us.

o Pearson's Marine on Shasta Lake, California
There is an impressive set of pictures of houseboats decorated for Christmas which can be viewed by selecting the Christmas Tree link on their Home Page.

o Boat Owners World
Want access to an entire range of boating topics? This place has a lot to offer. Lots of surfing done here!!!

o The Sailing Source
For a look at an Internet Sailing Magazine, here is one place to go. Also, if you are interested in the Sunfish Laser, you can get the scoop HERE

o Mark Rosenstein's Sailing Page
This is another treasure spot of sailing. If you like pictures, books, mailing lists, and the like, you can spend an eon of time wandering the seas at this location.

o The Sailing Site
This is another of the commercialized sites for sailing. This one keeps some interesting up to date news and information items. It is worth a trip out there to see what's going on.
